By the Riverside.....

"By the River Piedra I Sat Down And Wept" i read this book only for the title, i fell in love with the title the moment i saw it.. It happens to most of us most times am sure, we jus love a title, you know "sounds nice" typs and thus buy it or read it.. I liked the thought of sitting by the riverside., Something about rivers and beach's and water have always attracted me..

3 months in Berlin and the Berlin River is my favourite place., The Spree River it is called and it runs all through Berlin and Brandenburger.. One can never miss it as you travel around Berlin.. It also has great tourist attraction with the boat rides and boat parties and beach bars (the bars by the riverside filled with sand and huts, they try to mimic a beach atmosphere and look., minus the waves)..

The quitness and the slow flow of the water, the air that blows against my hair and face, fresh and cool, the rays of sun light that peeks and shines through the trees on a warm sunny day.. I feel peace here by the riverside, i feel relaxed and refreshed.. Whatever be the emotion or mood i go sit by the river side.. When i feel low, tension and worries and when my mind functions no more, when i feel exhausted, most times, i just walk to the river, find a nice place to sit.. And there i am feeling soo much better again.. There are also times when i just want to run away from everything, and you know now where i run..

Its not just the 'quite and calm' of the river that i like.. Cause i remember when we used to go to goa oft, we used to take late night walks on the beach under the the dark sky filled with stars., and amidst the still dark and quit night, the sound of waves, the gusshhing and ripples of the water, it felt amazing (of course it was romantic too).. I used to lay in bed and just lissen to those sounds and drift away to sleep..

I am sure all of us have a healing spot/ place., a place where maybe we sometimes cant go, but would wish to, a place where we feel or find peace or just calmness..

For me it is the sweet phenomenon of nature., the curls of the water, the ripples, the color, the sweet sound which is like music., All these effects, they just clear all agony and sadness and make me feel lighter..
